Caleb and I haven’t always been passionate about investing in Multifamily Real Estate or even passionate about finding ways to develop passive streams of income. A fire really lit inside us when our first son was just a few months old. Our family structure and health being top priority, meant me staying home to flourish to our growing family while building a real estate enterprise. Like us, most families are discussing the high cost of living in many states, the ever-increasing cost of food and basic needs, and how to tuck some money away, if possible, for emergencies. We face these same challenges every month, and we decided to get serious about finding ways to expand our income streams and set financial and time goals for our family that are already producing results. This is where Multifamily Real Estate (MFRE) investing came in. Initially, we felt burdened for having waited so long to invest in Multifamily Real Estate but were reminded that it’s never too late to start. Now we have a posture of gratitude for the opportunity to bring others with us as we mold our family’s legacy.

The Bible teaches us that God places us in certain positions for a reason, and we must have faith and courage to honor God in that position, regardless of full understanding of His plan or timing. “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish and who knows whether you have to come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14. We strive to live our lives obedient to God, even when we may not know the full context of God’s plan or how he will use us to fulfill His will. We have felt strongly that our purpose for investing in MFRE is God-given, and we are anticipating seeing His full work fulfilled, in his timing.
If you’re beginning to explore what investing in MFRE might look like for you, or you’re a seasoned pro; we are happy you are here, and we hope to provide you with valuable insight and opportunities. As we have talked with friends, colleagues, and strangers, a few themes emerge about the benefit of jumping into MFRE Investing, and why it’s not too late for you to start now.
Multifamily Real Estate can be a great hedge against inflation as it is a hard asset and typically increases in value over time. MFRE typically has a strong appreciation and allows investors to see the return of their invested money more clearly than the stock market. Traditionally, 401K and 403B funds work with the stock market, which can be volatile and not provide the returns you are looking for. Unless you are a savvy investor in the stock market, it can be frustrating and challenging to see your hard-earned invested money ebb and flow with the changes of the market. It requires a significant amount of time, or resource to track the stock market, predict changes, and move your investments around to best support your goals. Did you know that if you have retirement accounts from previous employers, you can convert those accounts to begin investing in Multifamily Real Estate? It’s not too late to begin investing outside of the stock market!
If you are anything like us, you may have a dream-list of projects, hobbies, or passions you want to start doing. Ask Caleb sometime about his note of business ideas we’ve been working on for the last few years; it will give you a peak into our passions and dreams! One barrier that we run into when thinking about our hobbies or passions is extra income to provide for those things. Finding new streams of income can give you wiggle-room to take on your next venture, step away from your rigorous job, or give you an opportunity to better focus on passions you don’t have bandwidth for right now. As I have said throughout this article, it’s not too late to explore real estate investing and how this asset may serve you to reach your goals, whatever those may be.
Caleb and I are passionate about this discussion and encouraging new ways of thinking about income and how to achieve your goals surrounding finances, time, and passions. We would love to talk with you directly about this further and how we are seeing this mindset change impact our family. We are praying for blessing over you and look forward to talking with you soon.
God Bless,
Kristin
